چکیده

Introduction: Block-oriented structures are useful to model a nonlinear system. Applications range from RF amplifiers over chemical processes to physiological systems [1]. A block-oriented model consists of two types of blocks: Linear Time Invariant (LTI) and static nonlinear blocks. The most simple block-oriented model structures are the Wiener (a LTI block followed by a static nonlinear block) [1],[2] and the Hammerstein (static nonlinear block followed by a LTI block) [1],[3] model structure. A straightforward extension of the Wiener and the Hammerstein structure is the Wiener-Hammerstein structure. A Wiener-Hammerstein model structure (see Figure 1) is given by a static nonlinearity that is sandwiched in between two LTI blocks [1],[4],[5]. In this letter we assume that the output y(t) of a Wiener-Hammerstein system is given by:

A unified approach for the identification of SISO/MIMO Wiener and Hammerstein systems

Hammerstein and Wiener models are nonlinear representations of systems composed by the coupling of a static nonlinearity N and a linear system L in the form N-L and L-N respectively. These models can represent real processes which made them popular in the last decades. The problem of identifying the static nonlinearity and linear system is not a trivial task, and has attracted a lot of research...

Accurate Model Identification for Non-Invertible MIMO Sandwich Block-Oriented Processes

In the previous work our research group introduced an exact solution to the Hammerstein system and is known as H-BEST (Hammerstein BlockOriented Exact Solution Technique). It was later expanded to multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) Hammerstein and Wiener (W-BEST) systems. This work is extends this approach to more complicated block-oriented systems, namely a Hammerstein-Wiener process. By e...

A new identification method for Wiener and Hammerstein Systems

System identification is very important to technical and nontechnical areas. All physical systems are nonlinear to some extent and it is natural better to use nonlinear model to describe a real system. The Wiener and Hammerstein systems are proved to be good descriptions of nonlinear dynamic systems in which the nonlinear static subsystems and linear dynamic subsystems are separated in differen...

Identification of parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems with a decoupled static nonlinearity ?

Block-oriented models are often used to model a nonlinear system. This paper presents an identification method for parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems, where the obtained model has a decoupled static nonlinear block. This decoupled nature makes the interpretation of the obtained model more easy. First a coupled parallel Wiener-Hammerstein model is estimated. Next, the static nonlinearity is dec...
